Of Who and Why
A lot of what I blog are pictures and music. Both of which are somehow of interest to me or spark interest.
Sometimes, between the aforementioned posts, I’ll write thoughts from my perspective on something. I’m not going to guarantee said thoughts are always going to be one hundred percent positive all of the time. But that’s the point of a blog is it not—self expression?
I’ve lived, what I consider to be, quite a few places. I’ve spent the vast majority of my life living in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. In the last couple years however, I also took up residence for a period in Wisconsin (where I go to college) and, more recently in eastern Iowa (where I’ve spent my summer).
Also, some other things about me that may or may not have relevancy to the blog but that I decided might be interesting to note:
_I consider myself to be somewhere between 5 and 6 on Kinsey’s (imperfect) scale of sexuality. That means that I consider myself to be gay, but not wholistically. There are exceptions to a certain degree, though I haven’t exactly figured that out for myself yet.
_I’m diabetic. I have been since I was six. So when you see the rare post regarding diabetes, there’s the relevancy.
_My grandfather asked me a while back if my life kind of centers around a motif of music in the same way (to provide an example) that his revolved around the motif of news. After brief consideration, I agreed to his observation and I still hold that to be primarily true. I love music. Its been integral throughout my life and I don’t see it ever waning in its importance to me.
_I don’t know if its the fact that I’m just in my late teens/early adulthood, but it seems like I’m always in the throes of an identity crisis. Nothing major, but minute, little things. Sometimes I’ll blog about them.
_The last time I took a personality test, it classified me as introverted. I agree with that. I also tend to err on the end of introspective. Again, sometimes you’ll find that in some manifestation on the blog.
_Writing and typography and art and design and words are very much an important staple to the artistic side of my personality. A lot of what I post intrigues me to some degree around those themes.
